Planning
|
- Start planning as far ahead as possible, at least six weeks ahead is ideal.
- Make checklists, so you don't forget any important details.
- Ensure you involve your child in the planning process, after all, it is their big day and they will feel more a part of it if involved in the decisions.
- Be prepared!Keep things simple and make sure everything is prepared before the party starts so you can also enjoy yourself.
- Limit the party to one or two rooms of the house. This makes the children easier to supervise as well as less cleaning up.
- Play games and eat outside if the weather allows. Not only is it easier to keep things tidy, but it is great for the kids to have a run around outside.
- Apply some structure to the party, but also allow children time to play and choose their own activities. You might find that giving them playtime between organised games can work well.
