Venues
|
Wherever you decide to hold your child's party, you need to consider:
- The safety of the children - ensure the venue you choose is safe for children to play and away from roads and traffic.
- The weather - if your child's party is in winter, outdoors may not be suitable.
- Activities for the children - ensure the venue has plenty of things for the children to do, a playground in a secure park is great.
- Facilities - ensure there is shelter, kitchen or picnic facilities and toilets.
Some venue ideas include:
- Beach or swimming pool (for older children)
- Local kindergarten or hall
- Trains in Victoria - Puffing Billy, Diamond Valley Miniature Railway in Eltham, Steam Locomotive Society of Victoria (Miniature) in Moorabbin, National Steam Centre in Scoresby, Mornington Railway Centre and South Gippsland Tourist Railway
- Farms in Victoria - Myuna Farm Doveton, Collingwood Children's Farm
